Japanese Car Brands: The Longest Lasting Vehicles in the World
Japan is one of the biggest producers of autos in the world. Household names, such as Honda and Toyota, are among the many brands to the country’s credit. The first steam powered bus was also created in 1907 in Japan.
The most popular Japanese car brands in the world are as follows:
Toyota was founded in 1937 and is known for producing highly affordable vehicles. The company continues to grow rapidly with production output reaching 9.9 million in 2012.
The Toyota lineup includes:

Founded in 1946 in Japan, Honda is much like Toyota: they cater to the masses. Honda is known for their very reliable vehicles and owns luxury brand Acura to fill the void for higher-priced, luxury vehicles.
Honda produced 4.1 million vehicles in 2012 and has the current models in their lineup:
Founded in 1989, Lexus is a luxury division belonging to the Toyota Motor Corporation. Lexus provides luxury vehicles that would not be found in Toyota’s normal lineup. The brand is known for quality and currently offers the following models:

Acura is the luxury brand of Honda Motor Company and was founded in 1986. One of the most popular luxury brands in the world, Acura’s major consumers are Americans. The company has been in the US since its creation and has since expanded to Hong Kong, Mexico and China. Ironically, Acura is not currently sold in Japan.

Mazda first opened their doors in 1920. Now, the company is the 15th largest automaker with 2012 figures showing that 1.189 million units were produced by the company. Mazda become famous with the Cosmo Sport and RX-7, but now they have many new models within their collection.
